Arshava Retractor
The Arshava Transhiatal Retractor has been developed for the posterior mediastinal exposure and illumination in transhiatal esophagectomies by Dr. Evgeny V. Arshava, MD.
The retractor has a C-shaped blade, with an open “mouth” designed to accommodate the shape of the diaphragm and heart during retraction. The handle is ergonomically optimized for comfortable use.
The fiberoptic illumination feature of the retractor further improves visibility in the mediastinum during dissection and hemostasis evaluation.
